For your convenience, we have set aside room blocks in our favorite boroughs (Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan) at the following hotels (listed below). Of course, there is zero obligation to stay at any of these hotels, but feel free to check them out. Be aware that the weekend of 10/14/16-10/16/15 is the New York City Wine and Food Festival so rooms are booking up quickly.
44-29 9th St. Long Island City
($210/night for a "view room")
This hotel is right near our apartment in Long Island City and is the most cost-effective option. It is within walking distance (about 7 minutes) of several major subway lines (7, E, G, M) and the hotel has a shuttle to the subway stops for those who prefer a ride. This is a quick 5 minute cab ride (or short G train ride) to and from the wedding venue. Although Long Island City is in Queens, we are just one subway stop from midtown Manhattan, where you can enjoy the true NYC tourist experience. Or you can be adventurous and explore our local hood', by checking out P.S. 1 (the MOMA outpost), stunning views of Manhattan from the beautiful Gantry State Park (where the famous Pepsi Cola sign is located), LIC Flea and Food, the Noguchi Museum or the Museum of the Moving Image in nearby Astoria. LIC has tons of food (LIC Market, Alobar, Casa Enrique, M. Wells) and bar options (LIC Bar, Alobar, Dutch Kills, Alewife, Domini's Hoek, Bierocracy) on Vernon Blvd and beyond, and we may have some late night drinks with out of towners at a local bar here or in Greenpoint. Those who will be booking rooms at the Wyndham should call the hotel direct either at 718-906-1900 or toll free at 888-310-2100 and ask for the Weinberger Sabolinski block.
111 N. 12th Street, Brooklyn, NY.
($349/night for a King room with balcony)
The William Vale is a brand spanking new hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, approximately .5 miles from the wedding venue. It has a swanky pool, restaurant and bar, as well as a rooftop terrace. The hotel is located within 2 minutes walking distance to the Brooklyn Brewery and 5 minutes walking distance to the East River State Park, as well as tons of shops and restaurants. It is easily accessible by subway and taxi. The link to book at the William Vale is: Weinberger Sabolinski Wedding Room Block. In order to receive the group rate and available dates, click on the the link and enter the booking ID: 70.
Other very nearby options, which don't offer blocks of rooms ( but are within walking distance to the wedding venue) in Greenpoint, Brooklyn include:
The Franklin Guesthouse http://www.franklinguesthouse.com/
The Box House Hotel: http://www.theboxhousehotel.com (Boutique Industrial Chic Hotel in North Greenpoint Brooklyn)
541 Lexington Avenue between 49th and 50th St.

The W New York is in Midtown East, close to the hustle and bustle of Park Ave, shopping at Bloomingdales and Saks (Courtney highly recommends), MOMA, Bliss Spa, and Rockefeller Center among just about a million other things! It is close to the E, M and 6 trains and about a 20 minute ride by taxi to the Glasserie in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Use this link to book a room at the W New York:Weinberger Sabolinski Wedding RB
125 E. 50th Street

(Wedding guests will receive 15% off of the Benjamin's Flexible Rate in effect at the time of booking their reservation. Please note that the Flexible Rate can fluctuate and is based on availability) This is the Sabolinski family's favorite place to stay when visiting the city! The Benjamin is also within walking distance of the above midtown attractions and is a beautiful hotel. Welcome cocktails will be hosted here or nearby. Reservations can be made by calling the above reservation phone number or by following this link: https://gc.synxis.com/rez.aspx?Hotel=10150&Chain=5158&promo=WEDDNG
We highly recommend that out-of-town guests set up an account with Uber or Lyft and download these apps onto your smart phone to help you get around the city and Brooklyn with ease, as there is no organized transport to and from the wedding venue. Please note that the venue is not a far walk from the G train, but it is set off from the main thoroughfare. Uber/Lyft will be the best option to transport you to and from the wedding venue.
For those of you interested in getting a real life NYC experience, and perhaps catch a glimpse of pizza rat,
we recommend that you download Citymapper which is an amazing app to help you get around the city via public transportation. You can enter your destination and it will calculate the best routes for you to get to your final stop. Way better than google maps!
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held on the rooftop of The Glasserie, which features a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline. The dinner reception will be covered, but outdoors in a cobblestoned courtyard between the buildings that comprise this charming, repurposed 19th Century glass factory. Dancing and post-dinner revelry will be held indoors. Worshippers of high heels should consider wearing (or bringing) flats, wedges, or shoes with sturdier heels in order to accommodate the cobblestone floors and guarantee maximum comfort during the dinner reception. Semi-formal attire preferred.
NO! Food will be served family style but we will accomodate those with allergies or dietary restrictions. When sending your RSVP please indicate if you are a vegetarian or you have any food allergies.
Great! Let Courtney and Mike know any questions or comments you may have when you RSVP here. Or ask them however you normally do. Don't worry, its cool.
